Your Conference Venue is Strathclyde University
The EAFS2009 Conference will take place in Strathclyde University, one of Glasgow’s leading Universities. The University of Strathclyde began in 1796 when John Anderson, Professor of Natural Philosophy at Glasgow University, left instructions in his will for 'a place of useful learning' - a university open to everyone. His vision was realised when Anderson's University opened later the same year. The Venue is located perfectly in the heart of the city and is a mere 5 minute walk from the main conference hotels and from the city centre.

Languages and Interpretation
The official conference language will be English. No interpretation will be arranged.

Letter of Invitation
Upon request, the Conference secretariat will send a personal invitation to participate in the conference. It should be understood that such an invitation is only meant to help participants raise travel funds or obtain a visa, and does not represent a commitment on the part of the organisers to provide any financial support.

Insurance
The organisers cannot accept any responsibility for individual travel, medical or personal insurance. Delegates are strongly advised to have their own travel insurance policies.

Currency
The currency in Scotland is the Pound Sterling. All major credit cards are widely accepted in Scotland.

Climate
Scotland enjoys a temperate climate. The air is fresh and clean. In September the average midday temperature is between 15 and 20 degrees Celsius.
